Who we are
|
|
Cignoweb is a project coordinated by the Centro di Riferimento Oncologico (CRO, Oncology Referral Centre Aviano, Italy), in collaboration with the
University of Genoa
and with support from the
Alliance Against Cancer
(ACC, Alliance Against Cancer) and the Network of Italian Oncology Institutes, (ACC P1-WP5). It is part of a wider project aimed at creating a
National Reception Service for Cancer
in the form of a network of Information/Library points for patients within the Italian healthcare system. This project aims to help promote a culture and practice of quality in the field of information and communication to patients.
Cignoweb serves these Information Points and those patients, healthcare workers and members of the public who wish to learn more about healthcare matters, by means of high- quality Italian-language material.
The project operates through three bodies:

CIGNOweb è un tassello del piú ampio progetto volto alla realizzazione del “Servizio Nazionale di Accoglienza e Informazione sul cancro”. Il nome della banca dati si ispira al progetto “CIGNO”: Come Immaginare la Gestione di una Nuova Oncologia. Cigno promuove interventi di recupero della qualita' della vita in oncologia ed è ideato e condotto dall’Azienda Sanitaria Locale di Alessandria e dall’
Associazione Vela Onlus, Ovada(AL)
co-fondatrice insieme ad
AIMaC,
ANGOLO
e IIMS di FAVO.
